Washington County completed the 2015 season with a 10-3 record. Last year Washington County captured the region one title and a number one seed in the Class 2A playoffs. They finished region play with a 7-0 record. Washington County lost in the quarter-finals of the playoffs last season to a good Elba team by a score of 20-14. Over the past two seasons the Bulldogs have gone 23-4 and will be looking to continue that winning tradition. As one of the best football programs in the state since 2010, Washington County has gone a combined 67-15. Their 82.0% winning percentage ranks 4th in Class 2A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Washington County has managed to compile a record of 186-106. Their 64.0% winning percentage ranks 9th in Class 2A and 67th in the AHSAA. Their last losing season was 1999. The Bulldogs are led by head coach Al Earnest who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 10-3 record in his first season at Washington County. Under his direction the Bulldogs have qualified for the playoffs once. They have won one region crown with Coach Earnest.
